Installing

macOS will ask you to confirm the first time

Kiori is not yet signed with an Apple Developer ID, so macOS shows a warning the first time you open it. This is expected. Every later update installs quietly.

  1. Open the downloaded disk image and drag Kiori into your Applications folder. Kiori has to live in Applications to update itself.
  2. Open Kiori from Applications. macOS says it “could not verify that this app is free of malware.” Click Done.
  3. Open System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to the Security section, and click Open Anyway next to Kiori.
  4. Confirm with your password. Kiori opens, and macOS stops asking.
